Marfle attended Oceanology International 2026 for the first time, marking an important step in expanding our presence within the global ocean technology community. And if you want a sneak peek into our plans... it will definitely not be our last.

Held in the UK’s capital, Oceanology International 2026 once again brought together industry leaders, innovators, and operators from across the marine and offshore sectors, all focused on advancing ocean science, engineering, and technology.

Representing Marfle on-site for three busy days was our Business Development Manager, Farooq Al-Obaidi, who networked with maritime operators, reconnected with familiar faces, and forged new partnerships with a global network of ocean pioneers.

A Clear Industry Shift Towards Fleet Analytics

Across numerous conversations and demonstrations, one theme stood out: operators are increasingly seeking better visibility into their fleet performance.

While many still rely on manual reporting processes, which can limit insights, slow decision-making, and are error-prone and unsustainable as data volumes grow and operations become more challenging, there is a notable shift towards automated, data-driven approaches that enable more efficient monitoring and operational oversight.

Looking ahead, operators who proactively incorporate fleet analytics into their daily operations will not only succeed but will also set a new standard for smarter, more transparent, and efficient maritime management.

Meaningful Conversations and Live Demonstrations

Throughout the event, Farooq Al-Obaidi showcased Marfle Fleet Analytics through live demonstrations, attracting strong interest from industry leaders and future talent.

As discussions unfolded, it became evident that many operators face similar challenges: limited visibility, fragmented data, and increasing pressure to make faster, more informed decisions. Demonstrating Marfle Fleet Analytics in this context naturally led to deeper conversations on how clearer, real-time insights can support more efficient and transparent vessel operations.

Beyond productive meetings and personalised demonstrations, these events offer us a valuable opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, including Jan-Peter Blacquière, Offshore Survey Manager at Braveheart Marine, and the GEOxyz team. Catching up face-to-face to discuss operational challenges and future ambitions is always a pleasure. Thank you for your ongoing trust and collaboration.

We look forward to achieving more together in 2026 and beyond.

What’s next for Marfle?

Oceanology International 2026 exceeded expectations, filled with engaging conversations, demonstrations, and valuable meetings. The keen interest in Marfle Fleet Analytics confirms its growing importance within the industry, shifting from a ‘nice-to-have’ to a strategic priority.

Based on this experience, Marfle is very likely to return for the next edition.

But first, our next stop is HavExpo 2026 in Bergen, a new international exhibition for Norwegian aquaculture and fisheries. 🐟

Book a 30-minute meeting with Joose Viljanen or Farooq Al-Obaidi, or contact us at sales@marfle.com.

If you didn’t have the chance to meet us at oi26, or if you’d like a personalised demonstration of Marfle, we’d be delighted to show you how Marfle Fleet Analytics can elevate your survey operations from day one.

That’s all from us for now — until next time. 👋
