Notes from NOR Shipping 2022

Marfle provides marine analytics solutions for vessel owners to help them in the digitalization and decarbonization of their fleet operations. We have many customers in Nordic countries and regularly participate in the events to meet with vessel owners and technology developers in marine industry.

Once again Nor Shipping brought all innovators and thought leaders from ocean and maritime industries together in Oslo.  The exhibition was the one of the major international gatherings of maritime industry since the global pandemic began.

In the center of the oceans, the exhibition’s main theme was taking ACTION to speed up the decarbonization and digitalization in maritime and ocean industries. We are all in the same boat in this journey and Marfle aims to do its part.

To begin with, Oslo is a unique place especially for the maritime world. In addition to the events in the exhibition hall, there were many side events which were organized in Aker Brygge. The area was one of the centers of shipbuilding until 80s. Today it is known for its pier and vibrant atmosphere with many bars and restaurants.

It was our first time at NOR Shipping and we were extremely happy to be there! Compared to some other exhibitions, we spent most of our time with meetings and we had less time to walk around the exhibition hall. Therefore, we will definitely have our own stand next time!

Marfle has a strong presence in Norway with its customers Bukser og Berging and AQS. We had the pleasure to visit Bukser og Berging’s headquarters and have a face-to-face meeting. The company uses Marfle Fleet Analytics in 26 vessels which include pilot boats and a high speed ambulance boat. We would like to thank Bukser og Berging team for their hospitality.

In addition to Bukser og Berging, we held several meetings with the executives from different Norwegian vessel owners in the exhibition hall. They are from different segments including aquaculture, offshore support and passenger vessels. It is great to see that the demand for Marfle Fleet Analytics is growing with each exhibition. We are looking forward to announcing new deals soon.
