What an intense, yet fulfilling week!

From 19 to 21 August, our team had the pleasure of participating in Aqua Nor 2025 in Trondheim, Norway, as the world’s largest exhibition for aquaculture technology. Representing Marfle were Joose Viljanen, Managing Director, and Farooq Al-Obaidi, Business Development Manager, who traveled from our Helsinki headquarters to join the global aquaculture community.

Since 1979, Aqua Nor has been the leading meeting point for the aquaculture industry. With over 25,000 participants this year, including a record 10,000 visitors in a single day, it is clear that this event remains the hub for innovation, networking, and knowledge sharing.

This year, Marfle truly put the “welcome aboard” into practice on the powerful Emilsen Sjøservice vessel, which we had successfully installed just a few weeks prior. We’re incredibly grateful to Rasmus Husby Larsen, COO of Emilsen Sjøservice, for making this idea possible and for the warm welcome from the very first moment. We can’t wait to hear soon how Marfle Fleet Analytics is making a real impact on your daily operations.

Not only was the event filled with great energy and inspiring discussions, but we also had the opportunity to reconnect with a long-standing Norwegian customer, AQS. Joose Viljanen spoke with the entire management team about how Marfle has enhanced both data accuracy and overall operational efficiency across more than 15 AQS vessels, a partnership that began in November 2021. We couldn’t be happier with their feedback, as true advocates working alongside us to promote smarter and more sustainable aquaculture operations!

Here’s what Marfle experts have to say about Aqua Nor 2025:

Key event topics and Marfle gaining momentum

With clean coastal waters, a strong regulatory framework, and continuous investment in innovation, Norway is globally recognized as a leader in aquaculture. Trout and salmon farming is not only a key driver of the Norwegian economy but also brings attention to industry challenges, such as environmental concerns and regulatory constraints.

That’s why the biennial Aqua Nor exhibition in Trondheim offers the ideal stage to discuss innovations to make Norway a promising partner for collaboration and joint development in aquaculture.

Next-level digitalization: Modern aquaculture demands more advanced technologies. Automation, advanced digital sensors, and AI-powered monitoring are now at the core of modern aquaculture. For vessel owners and fleet managers, this wave of innovation means real-time visibility, smarter decision-making, and a fundamental shift toward predictive, data-driven operations.

Regulatory conditions: With tightening requirements around reducing mortality, emissions, and fish welfare, compliance is no longer just a box to tick; it's a strategic priority. Technology is playing a vital role in helping operators meet these regulations while staying competitive.

Sustainability: From hybrid and electric vessels to smarter fuel management and reduced emissions, sustainability has moved from vision to practice. The push for greener aquaculture operations is reshaping the industry worldwide at an unparalleled pace.

We want to thank everyone who stopped by our shared stand to connect, exchange ideas, and learn what we've been working on. The positive feedback around Marfle Fleet Analytics shows that our solutions are gaining real momentum in the Norwegian industry.

Visitors especially appreciated the economy page, alarms, and trend analysis, noting how these insights can drive meaningful improvements in fuel efficiency and operational performance. Many also praised the platform’s clear and intuitive interface, making it easy to turn data into action.

What’s next for Marfle?

For us, Aqua Nor 2025 was more than just an exhibition. It was confirmation that the demand for smarter, greener, and more efficient fleet management is stronger than ever, and that Marfle is part of this change. We’ll definitely be back in Trondheim for Aqua Nor 2027, so mark your calendars now.

In the meantime, we’re already preparing for our next big step: Europort 2025, taking place from 4–7 November at Rotterdam Ahoy.
